Hi my name is Ann, the weather is warming up and it’s the perfect time to launch PhD Pooches Dog Training School.
Here at PhD Pooches, our Puppy Pre-School Classes will be commencing on Wednesday 12th November at Companion Animal Practice, Menai, for puppies aged 8-16 weeks. The world is a big place for a young puppy and our aim is to assist you in developing your puppy into a happy and confident adult dog.
We also offer Private Lessons and Home Consultations to cover general training, behaviour modification and trick training. Our website contains information about the above services, but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
I’d like to introduce you to my inspiration for PhD Pooches, “Marty” the Canine Scholar! Marty was the first dog I ever trained, I loved him dearly and could write a book about his funny antics. When I first got Marty over 25 years ago I had a lot to learn about training a dog, and I have to admit I made a few mistakes along the way. Marty and I were competing in obedience trials and this led me to seek the advice of Steve Austin and in more recent years Vicki Austin. Steve and Vicki are highly regarded professional dog trainers, and I have been privileged to share in some of their wealth of knowledge after completing two certificate courses in dog and puppy training.
I hope to pass some of this knowledge onto puppy and dog owners, so they too can enjoy that special bond with their canine friend.
Throughout the website ‘Marty’ shares some training tips – simply click on his picture! We also have some free posters for you to download on our Training Tips page. So be sure to visit us regularly, to see what’s new at PhD Pooches!
